Social Action / Introduction Shpola in the Ukraine IHC has been paired with the town of Shpola in the Ukraine through
the Chicago organization Yad L'Yad. Shpola once had a thriving
Jewish community that has been greatly diminished after the Russian
Revolution and during World War II. There are now approximately 50
members of the Jewish community who spend time together during Jewish
Holidays. Our Social Action committee supports this community by
sending quarterly donations to help with fuel for heat during the
winter, medications, purchasing matzoh for Passover, and celebrating
other Jewish festivals. If you would like to contribute to this
